Leo Kit
The Leo Kit is a guided, physical family preparedness system that organizes everything your family needs to find, understand, and act on, before a crisis makes it impossible to think clearly. Fourteen color-coded sections and 68 guided worksheets cover every major area of your household. Organized by priority so the person who steps in knows exactly where to start. Ships fully assembled and ready to fill out.
"It's one place where my family can find everything they need. If something happens to me, it's all right here. You don't have to go looking elsewhere."
— Garn Arnold"I wish I'd had this when my mom died three years ago. We spent days just trying to hunt down the family trust papers."
— Lori Durrant"It's so pretty and well thought out that I want to use it... but what I keep thinking about is how I feel — a sense of security and relief, knowing everything is taken care of."
— Sherry ArnoldWhat's inside
Water-Resistant File Box
A structured, portable container built to live on a shelf until it's needed, then handed directly to the person who steps in. The Standard version accepts a padlock. The Fireproof version has a built-in combination lock, rated to 2000°F.
14 Color-Coded Section Folders
Hanging folders with printed, color-coded tab labels covering every major area of your household, from finances and legal to health, digital life, and personal wishes. Whoever steps in can go directly to what they're looking for, with no searching and no guessing.
68 Guided Interior Worksheets
Printed prompts for each section. Every page has two sides: what to fill in now, and clear directions for your family on what to do when the time comes. Each sheet shows what exists, where it is, and what needs to happen next.
Leo Pouch + Accessories
A mesh zippered pouch, key rings for spare keys, and color dot labels. The spare key, the emergency contact, and the first documents they'll reach for are all in the pouch, in the kit, right where they need to be.

How it works
Every section, prompt, and label was designed against a single question: can someone step in and act without the owner present?
- Findable: A substitute operator can locate the kit and what they need in under five minutes.
- Legible: Anyone can read and understand what's inside without needing the owner to explain it.
- Actionable: The kit gives a clear first step and a prioritized order of next actions.
- Authority-Aware: The kit clarifies who can act and what documentation is needed, even when legal documents are stored elsewhere.
- Updateable: Life changes. The kit is designed to be updated without starting over. A quick annual review is enough.
Who it's for
The Leo Kit is for you if:
- You have aging parents and no one has documented anything
- You're the one your family would call first in a crisis
- You've been through a loss and vowed never to leave your family in that position
- You have a spouse or partner who wouldn't know where to start
- You want to handle this now, while it's a choice and not an emergency
It may not be the right fit if you're looking for a digital-only solution, your household documents are already fully organized and accessible to your family, or you need legal or financial advice. The Leo Kit is an organizational tool, not a substitute for an attorney or advisor. (I'm not a lawyer or financial advisor.)
Common questions
What exactly comes in the Leo Kit?
A portable water-resistant file box, 14 color-coded hanging folders with printed tab labels, 68 guided interior worksheets, a mesh zippered pouch, and key rings for spare keys. Everything is printed, labeled, and ready to use.
What's the difference between the Standard and Fireproof versions?
The contents are identical, same 14 sections, 68 worksheets, mesh pouch, and accessories. The difference is the container. The Fireproof version uses a document bag with a built-in combination lock, rated to withstand temperatures up to 2000°F. The double-layer silicone fiberglass construction also resists water from firefighting hoses and incidental spills, though it is not designed for submersion.
How long does it take to fill out?
Most people start with the Getting Started section, about 15 to 30 minutes, and work through the rest over a few weeks. There's no required order. The kit is designed for real life, which means fragmented time and uneven motivation. Small progress matters.
Is the Leo Kit a legal or estate planning tool?
No. The Leo Kit is an organizational tool. It helps you document and locate information your family would need in a crisis. It does not replace a will, trust, power of attorney, or any other legal instrument. For those, consult a qualified attorney. I'm not a lawyer or financial advisor.
How does shipping work?
Orders ship within 3 to 5 business days. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout.
Who is Leo built for?
Leo was built for the person in the family who would be the first call in a crisis, the one who coordinates, organizes, and figures things out. Whether you have aging parents and no one has documented anything, a household where one partner handles most of the financial and logistical details, or you've watched a family go through a loss and want yours to be different, Leo exists so that when something happens, the people you love have what they need.
